Der barocke Gartenpavillon des Schlosses Molsberg ist Ausgangspunkt der Installation. Das Innere des Oktagon wird mit Spiegeln verkleidet, mittig wird ein Kreuzspiegel installiert und bei Eintritt in den Raum füllt dieser sich vollständig mit Nebel. Der 8 qm große Raum erscheint endlos. Sichere Entitäten des eigenen Körpers und des Raumes lösen sich auf und eröffnen dem Eintretenden neuartige haptische Erfahrungen. Gleichzeitig vermischt sich der künstliche Nebel mit der herbstlichen Landschaft und romantische Konzepte der Kunstproduktion und -rezeption tauchen auf.
The baroque garden pavilion of the Molsberg Castle is the point of origin of this installation. The octagon’s interior is clad with mirrors, in its centre a cross mirror is mounted, and upon entering this space, it fills up entirely with fog. The 8 qm-room appears never-ending. Assured entities of one’s own body and of the room dissipate and thereby enable novel haptic experiences. At the same time, the artificial fog blends with the autumn landscape and romantic concepts of art production and reception emerge.
