2 ½ D ist ein Zwischenraum, ein Changieren zwischen Zwei- und Dreidimensionalität.
In der Serie 2 ½ D wird Aluminium- folie in eine dreidimensionale Form gebracht, die dann durch das Fotokopieren wieder auf eine zweidimensionale Ebene zurück- geführt wird. Das Ergebnis wird nochmals auf Transparentpapier belichtet. Der Prozess des wiederholten Fotokopierens ergibt aus technischen Gründen eine minimale Verschiebung auf dem Papier, sodass dann durch die Überlagerung der beiden Blätter eine räumliche Wahrnehmung entsteht, in der beide Dimensionen gleichzeitig sichtbar sind.
2 ½ D is an interspace, a shifting between two- and three-dimensio- nality.
In the series 2 ½ D aluminum foil is shaped into a three-dimensional form, which through photocopying is returned to the two-dimensional level. The outcome once again is exposed to light on transparent paper. For technical reasons repeated photocopying results in minimal displacements on the paper, so that by superimposing the two sheets, a spatial perception arises, where both dimensions are visible simultaneously.
